Good Dogs 4 life: Week 1

I have a new website project for Nico & Scott’s new dog training business. They came to me with the URL gooddogs4life.com and wanted to have an online business prescence. I spent a good deal of time with them in person to learn their offerings so I could translate that to digital content. I set up a WordPress website for them on the spot, in their own GoDaddy account in our first meeting. I showed them how to log into their own website and change the theme. The first thing they did was remove the current dog photo and replace it with their own dog photo. Noted.

I printed an empty calendar month and penciled in conference calls on Saturdays, and the next 3 weeks with “content”, “design”, and “development”. A week for each. Yeah, I know, it’s not likely, but in my best-case scenario I would wrap up this project in 1 month, so I presented my best case. At least start somewhere, and be clear to communicate what needs to happen for a website to get built.

I put the clients on some homework. They seem like willing participants, so I gave them some goals: 1) have 1 ten second video created & uploaded, and 2) open their Facebook account. I wrote it on their copy of the calendar.

My goal for the next week is to create content. I obtained the 4 dog training books they had on them, and certain phrases were highlighted. GOOD CLIENTS, GOOD CLIENTS!
