Beginners Milky Way

Featured Post Image - Beginners Milky Way

The milky way shot has always eluded me but this weekend was the closest I’ve gotten to capturing it.

30 seconds at f2.8, iso 1600, 16mm. To let in as much light as I could, but I still needed a little bit more light. I can’t increase shutter speed though, anything more than 30 seconds will show the stars moving and leave a trail. Now I realize I should have increased the ISO, why didn’t I try that!? I thought anything higher than 1600 would be just too grainy, but I didn’t even try, so next time I will!
